COPE Ethical Guidelines
All authors, peer reviewers, and editors of all varieties must strictly adhere to and uphold COPE ethical standards and guidelines throughout the development, research, reviewing, and publishing processes.
Authorship and Affiliations
All authors, including co-authors and contributing authors, should be named in the manuscript. For articles with more than one author, a corresponding author must be identified.
All author(s) relevant affiliations should be identified in a footnote on the first page.
It must be declared if the research under consideration was conducted at a previous institution, was conducted independently, or was part of a funded research project or programme in the footnote on the first page.
Authors are free to indicate that thoughts expressed in the article do not necessarily represent the official position of the institutions they represent.
Intellectual Property
Authors retain possession and control of their intellectual property during and after the publication process. As author(s) are undisputed owners of their articles, they are welcome to post them to third party websites and repositories.
The Journal on Baltic Security simply licenses the research to publish it. Neither the Journal on Baltic Security nor the Baltic Defence College retain any ownership over the published material.
Data sharing, Reproducibility, and Post-Publication Discussions
As authors retain all rights to their work during and after the publication process, third parties who are interested in datasets or further discussions of work published at the Journal on Baltic Security must contact the corresponding author directly.
Post-Publication Corrections
Post-Publication corrections will be considered and done in accordance with COPE Guidelines.
Ethical Oversight
All research submitted to the Journal on Baltic Security must be conducted ethically. If ethical misconduct comes to light at any point during or after the publication process, the Journal on Baltic Security will follow COPE Guidelines in rejecting or retracting the article.
