Generative AI Usage Policy - For Authors
Authors are allowed to use generative AI platforms to assist in the development of their work. This is not an endorsement of the quality of work that is produced with the help of AI platforms. It is nothing more than a simple recognition that authors are going to use generative AI regardless of its permissibility.

According to the SCOPUS standards published in July of 2026, authors are not allowed to use generative AI platforms 'to create or alter images in submitted manuscripts. This may include enhancing, obscuring, moving, removing, or introducing a specific feature within an image or figure. Adjustments of brightness, contrast, or colour balance are acceptable if they do not obscure or eliminate any information present in the original'.
Authors must understand that all content submitted to the Journal on Baltic Security is their responsibility and they are accountable for every letter of their manuscript.

Generative AI Usage Policy - For Peer Reviewers
Peer reviewers are not allowed to use generative AI platforms in any part of the peer review process in any way. There will be no exceptions made to this stance.
Generative AI Usage Policy - For Editors and Guest Editors
Editors-in-Chief, Managing Editors, Technical Editors, and Guest Editors are not allowed to use generative AI platforms in any part of the editing process in any way. There will be no exceptions made to this stance.
