Pre-Submission Checklist
1. To be eligible to publish in the Journal on Baltic Security, your article must not be in consideration for publication with another institution at the time of your submission to the Journal on Baltic Security.
- It is the editorial policy of the Journal on Baltic Security not to accept articles which have been or will be published elsewhere.
2. Your manuscript must be written in UK Standard English and proofread before submission.
3. Please use Harvard Referencing for both in-text and Works Cited. If you submit in a different format, the editorial team may reject the manuscript. If the manuscript is moved forward, it will be the responsibility of the author to change the formatting.
4. Book Reviews should be between 1,000-3,000 words. Research articles should be between 7,000-10,000 words.
- If you would like to request an exception be made on word count, please contact Ms. Eden Elizabeth Armstrong at eden.armstrong@baltdefcol.org directly with a well-reasoned explanation as per why the parameters of the word count would be detrimental to the quality of the manuscript. Exceptions are considered but not guaranteed.
5. All authors, co-authors, and contributing authors must be given credit. A corresponding author should also be identified.
6. All affiliations for each author, co-author, and contributing author must be listed on the first page in a footnote.
7. All necessary declarations and research funding is mentioned in a footnote on the first page.
8. Please include an abstracts of 100 words as well as a minimum of four preferred key words identified.
9. Ensure any and all competing or conflicts of interests have been declared before submission.
- If they arise after submission, please declare them immediately by sending an email to Ms. Eden Elizabeth Armstrong at eden.armstrong@baltdefcol.org.
10. You must provide a detailed summary of all Artificial Intelligence (AI) used during the conceptualisation, research, and writing of your article.
If all of the above elements are in order, please submit your manuscript in a Microsoft Word file (.docx) electronically to journal@baltdefcol.org.
