About the Journal on Baltic Security

The Journal on Baltic Security is published twice annually, in June and December. It is a double-blind peer reviewed English language academic journal centred on security matters essential to the Wider Baltic Sea Area and topics critical to European Security at large.

The journal is hosted and maintained as a programme of the Baltic Defence College. As a NATO-accredited professional military education institution, we focus on defence and security issues important for the Wider Baltic region; exploring the current and future challenges faced by its changing strategic environment; and proposing solutions for the pressing problems of the day.

The first issue of the Journal on Baltic Security was published on April 16th, 2015. The most recent issue was published on June 30th, 2026.
